Mombasa, the largest city on the eastern coast of Kenya is the top places to visit in Kenya. It is also called the blue and white city in Kenya. It is currently the second and oldest city, with an estimated population of just over 1,207,332 individuals as of the2019 censuses. The city was established in 1690 by an English Captain called 'Simba' who then became the head of the Mombasa Trading Company. Mombasa enjoys numerous tourist spots that make the city famous around the world. 

The best time to travel in Mombasa for those wanting to visit some of the best beaches in Kenya is from October to March. This is the best season for travel to Mombasa because of all the tourist action that takes place here during this time. Tourists can enjoy a number of activities at these travel agencies including safaris, beach activities, cruises, hotels, sightseeing tours and more. A safari in particular will allow the tourist to see the wide range of wildlife in Kenya's Masai Mara Game Reserves. 

An alternatively you can also travel to Mombasa by air. There are two international airports in the city of Mombasa; both offer layover flights. From these flights you can travel to any other part of Kenya including Nairobi and Kisumu. The best time to visit Mombasa by air is between mid-December and end March. The city experiences quite a bit of tourist traffic at this time of the year; therefore it is advisable to make your hotel reservations as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

One of the best places to visit in Kenya is the town of Mombasa, also known as Momba. It has an international airport that offers flights from almost all major cities around the world. Mombasa is located on the northern coast of Kenya and is popular with tourists keen to explore the local cultures and landscapes. It is also the best place to get some cheap and good quality beachfront accommodation. There are a number of good hotels and resorts available in the area. 

Another good place to visit is Nyati. Nyati is an ancient fishing village that attracts visitors from all over the world. It was originally a place where people used to go fishing but later it became a popular tourist destination. It has two beautiful beaches, one near the shoreline and the other is along the hippo track where you will find the best whale watching tours in the region. There are various water sports that you can enjoy in Nyati including snorkeling and diving or simply relax on the beaches and enjoy the amazing views of the sea and nearby beaches. 

Tukai is another popular place in the province of Masiphumelele. This is a large community harbor where you can hire a car and travel to different parts of the province. It has a wide array of seafood restaurants where you can have your fill of mahi, manini, prawns, snapper, and other local delicacies. You can get a free boat tour from tukai to see the other smaller ferries servicing the area and you will be able to view whales and dolphins from the water. 

A must-visit place in Mombasa for all visitors is the Mombasa International Airport, also known as the Mombasa International airport since it serves both charter and regular flights to different cities around the globe. You can use the free pass provided by the airport for your accommodation and transportation needs while you are here. You can visit the city from the airport itself by hiring a car or a taxi and if you do not have a free pass, you can simply use the taxi services available in town for transport between the airport and different destinations. 

For those travelling to Masiphumelele from areas such as Nyati, tamburra and other cities, you can simply rent a car and head towards Mombasa from any of the major airports in Kenya. From there you can travel to either Mombasa or Masiphumelele by travelling on the tusks, which are available throughout the year. However, for those travelling from areas such as Mombasa, tamburra and other cities, the best option is to travel by water. Rather than using the tusks, you can travel on the traditional bicycles known as kanga, which are available at the stalls along the moi avenue and the coast road.
